    Type Alias AvoidNoteUse

    AvoidNoteUse: "harmonic" | "melodic"

Which use an avoid note is judged for: sounding it, or passing through it.

'harmonic' is the Berklee-style rule in full — a tone that must not be sounded against the chord. 'melodic' keeps only what a line cannot pass through either, which is the semitone above the root; every other clash resolves as the line moves on.
